DNVGL Software is part of DNVGL and almost 300 DNVGL offices in 100 countries enable us to be close to our customers and share best practices and quality standards throughout the world. DNVGL Software has a long history as provider of advanced software for offshore engineering and design/analysis of marine propulsion systems. Our software package Sesam and Nauticus are used world-wide. To maintain and strengthen our position we are now looking for software developers strengthening our competent development team. Responsibilities The Software Developer will work within DNVGL Software Development and Testing Shanghai Center. The daily tasks include: - Develop for products: HydroD and Sesam Manager - Develop common components: e.g. 3D modelling, licensing - Programming in * Microsoft Visual Studio, C# * Microsoft . framework * Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) - Be responsible for the software architecture and design - Work closely with stakeholders both in Shanghai and Oslo - Clarify the requirement, plan and estimate features for software package - Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others - Contribute on the support and marketing activities The candidate will work as part of a team consisting of 10-15 developers and testers. The team is to some extent co-operating with developers in DNVGL Software in Norway. We are practicing agile (Scrum) software development and testing processes for all our products. Qualifications, skills and experience We are looking for candidates with capability and attitude to resolve complicated technical challenges working both independently and as a part of a team. The successful candidate must be business oriented, self-disciplined and with interest in combining domain knowledge (offshore engineering) with advanced software development. Basic qualifications for the position are: · Bachelor, Master or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent · At least three years working experience in software development · Good at programming in C# or C++ · Good at problem solving and algorithm · Good verbal and written communications skills in English · Good at Object Oriented Programming (OOP) and Design Pattern · Good team player · Good at software engineering, be familiar with Agile/Scrum methodology · WPF knowledge is preferred · ASP. is preferred · 3D modeling knowledge is preferred · Curious to learn more about domain knowledge and product development
